Stop nail biting,
hair pulling or
skin picking

Do you have a BFRB?

What are they & how do they affect people?

If you have been struggling to stop biting your nails, compulsively pulling your hair or picking your skin you may have a body-focused repetitive behaviour (BFRB). The most commonly recognized ones are:

  1. Trichotillomania (hair pulling disorder)
  2. Excoriation Disorder or Dermatillomania (skin picking disorder)
  3. Onychophagia (nail-biting)
  4. Rhinotillomania (compulsive nose-picking)
  5. Cheek biting or chewing
  6. Lip biting or picking
  7. Tooth grinding or clenching (bruxism) sometimes if not sleep

If you are looking for proper information and support on stopping, you have come to the right place. I passionately want to help people to overcome their BFRBs. Download my free guide below to learn more.

How I can advise & help

Supporting you as you let go of your BFRB

I can help you to stop so that you can feel calm, confident and free.  With the right help, a BFRB can become a thing of the past. There are many ex-sufferers living happy and healthy lives.

You are unique, but I know something of your struggle, how frustrating these behaviours are and how hard they are to control.

I had an enduring nail biting habit until I was finally able to stop. Putting bitter-tasting chemicals on my fingers had not rid me of my BFRB. However, an evidence-based behavioural programme did. (Much of the advice I see online is out-of-date or ineffective.)

In order to help other sufferers I undertook a specialist training. I blend this approach with my experience of helping clients with the many life-changing tools acquired in26 years as a therapist.
