Tool I Use (and Share)
Vocal technique, mental skills and nutrition to sustain the performer
A holistic approach to expressive performance
Whether you sing, act, play an instrument or speak on stage your performance depends on more than skill alone. Your breath, your physical habits, your thoughts, your confidence and your general health all influence how freely you can express yourself. My work brings these elements together so that you perform with ease, clarity and authenticity.
Technique
For singers this includes breathing, tone, resonance and alignment. For musicians and performers it includes posture, physical ease and efficient use of the body. Technique gives you control and consistency. When your technique supports you well you can focus on expression rather than strain.
Breathwork
Breathing correctly creates steadiness, calm and reliable support. It helps with phrasing, projection and control. It also helps settle nerves because calm breath steadies the whole system. Breathwork is useful for singers, actors, presenters and instrumentalists who need balance and focus.
Mindfulness and the Inner Game
Mindfulness helps you notice what is happening in the moment. This combines with the "Inner Game" approach which teaches you to quieten the internal commentator so that you stay with the music, the scene or the task instead of being distracted by self critique.
ACT
Acceptance and commitment therapy teaches you how to stay present and connected with your performance even when doubts or difficult thoughts appear. This builds psychological flexibility and reduces pressure.
Hypnotherapy & NLP
Hypnotherapy and Neuro Linguistic Programming help you reach a calm, focused state that supports good performance. It can reduce anxiety, improve concentration and soften physical tension. Performers often find that hypnotherapy helps them access confidence and flow.
EFT tapping
Emotional Freedom Techniques are a practical method for clearing thoughts, beliefs or experiences that interfere with performance. Many performers carry old patterns such as fear of being judged, memories of criticism or habits of self doubt that interrupt focus and ease. EFT helps release these patterns so that you are not held back by old patterns.
Nutritional therapy for performers
Your overall health influences your performance. Low energy, unstable blood sugar or digestive irritation can affect breath, stamina, tone and concentration. My background in nutritional therapy helps you understand how food choices can support performance. This may include stable energy for long rehearsals, foods that reduce reflux, hydration habits that support vocal ease, simple ways to support immunity and gentle guidance for performers who feel drained or stressed.
How these tools work together
Each session is shaped around your needs. Some sessions focus on technique, others on breath, mindset, health or performance skills. The aim is always the same, to help you perform with ease and to feel grounded, capable and expressive in your craft.
