Myth: Eating problems are all about willpower
Truth: They are not. Eating too little or too much is often driven by biology, emotions, habits and past experiences. It is not a simple matter of self-control.
Myth: Dieting is the solution
Truth: Diets usually make things worse. Restriction can trigger binges, slow metabolism, and increase obsession with food. Lasting change comes from balance, not rules.
Myth: Overeating and undereating are completely different issues
Truth: Both are ways of coping with stress, feelings or unmet needs. Whether you eat too little, too much, or swing between both, the roots are often connected.

Truth: Food is one piece of the puzzle. Self-esteem, stress management, and fulfilling activities are just as important in creating peace with eating.
Why I created
Heal Your Eating

I have been a therapist for nearly three decades, but my work is also personal. After 30 years of dieting, I realised it was not the answer. Diets kept me trapped. When I stopped dieting and looked deeper, I found the real reasons behind my struggles and discovered how to eat in a natural, balanced way.
In 2002 I created the Happyweight programme, a non-diet approach based on conscious eating, emotional healing and biochemical rebalancing. It grew from my own journey and the results I saw in my clients. All of them stopped bingeing, stopped starving themselves and began to trust their bodies again.
With training in nutritional therapy, hypnotherapy, NLP, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, CBT, EFT and advanced eating disorder work with the National Centre for Eating Disorders, I can address food struggles from both psychological and physical angles.
Heal My Eating is the evolution of this work. It is not about diets, quick fixes or rules. It is about understanding yourself, addressing the roots of your eating challenges and finding a way of eating that feels calm, enjoyable and sustainable.
