How I work
Healthy technique and a clear mind help your voice to shine
Lovely to meet you!
I look forward to helping you to be all you want to be.
My teaching is practical and grounded. I help you build a relaxed, healthy voice that feels easy and expressive. We start with simple foundations. A calmer body, steady breath, open throat and clear sound. When these settle you discover that singing and speaking become far more comfortable and enjoyable.
I take a whole person approach because the voice responds to everything we experience. Tension, nerves and busy thoughts can show up in the throat or breath without you noticing. My job is to help you release those unhelpful patterns so you can use your voice with more freedom.
For technical work I use my years of singing training combined with experience as a singer and Estill and LAMDA teacher. This helps you understand how your voice works and how to produce healthy sound.
I integrate the Inner Game of Music with mindfulness, NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) principles. I also use Hypnotherapy and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) when they are helpful for settling the mind and creating a clearer, freer voice. This combination gives you a practical psychological advantage. You feel in flow, less distracted by thoughts and more connected with your audience. You can release unwanted habits and build tone, range and flexibility.
Everything we do is applied directly to your songs or spoken material. Sessions can focus on technique, expression, interpretation, confidence or performance.
My aim is always the same. To help you achieve your vocal outcomes supported by a steady mind.

Holistic voice coaching
Our sessions are a partnership. We explore what you want to improve and find practical ways to achieve it.
I look at the whole picture of your wellbeing because your voice never works alone. Your body, breath, mood and mindset all influence how you sing and speak. Everyday life, stress, hormones and past experiences can shape the way your voice responds. Together we work on creating balance in your body and mind so your voice feels free and enjoyable to use.
Between sessions you may be given recordings, written exercises and short practices to help you develop your voice and stay on track with your goals.
